HOW TO PROPERLY CARE FOR YOUR HOT STUFF CANDLE
While candles provide relaxation, memories, and warmth, their open flame can be dangerous if not carefully monitored. We at Hot Stuff Candles want to make sure you have a happy and safe candle-burning experience, so please read the guidelines we've provided below.
BEFORE BURNING
-
Prior to burning your candle, please remove any dust or debris from the surface of the wax.
-
Make sure to place your candle on a stable, heat resistant surface. You want to always avoid possible heat damage
-
Burn your candle 2-3 hours (or until the wax has reached a full melting pool.) This will help the candle to burn evenly and avoid tunneling. Remember to trim your wicks after your wax has cooled from burning.
WHILE BURNING
-
Make sure to never leave a candle burning unattended or lit while sleeping. If you are going to leave the room or go to bed, be sure to extinguish all candles first.
-
Never touch or move a burning candle; the jar is very hot.
-
Extinguish the candle if the candle flame becomes too high. Before re-lighting, let the candle cool, trim the wick, and relight. Check for unwanted drafts.
-
Never burn a candle on or near anything that could catch fire. Keep burning candles away from drapes, furniture, bedding, carpet, books, paper, or any flammable decorations.
WHEN EXTINGUISHING
-
To avoid smoke after blowing out your lit candle, instead, dip your lit wicks with tweezers into the wax and bring it back up to the surface. You have extinguished your wick and now no smoke smell.
-
Before leaving the room, make sure all candles are extinguished.
-
Do not touch or move a candle until it's completely cooled.
